Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Sun Hostel, I found a charming balance between cost and comfort, something crucial for any savvy traveller. This cozy spot in Belgrade offers key amenities that elevate the experience without breaking the bank. The shared kitchen is well-stocked with cookware and utensils, making it easy to whip up a meal after a day of exploring. I particularly appreciated the electric kettle for brewing a cup of tea, a nod to my British roots. The welcoming atmosphere in the garden-complete with barbecue facilities-fostered socializing among guests, which is always a plus. the 24-hour reception provided flexibility, essential for late arrivals, and their laundry service was a lifesaver. While housekeeping was decent, it could be improved, but considering the price-under six euros a night-you definitely get your money's worth. I wouldn't categorize Sun Hostel as a luxury experience, but for archaeologists or history buffs wishing to stay centrally without a hefty price tag, it ticks the boxes. Just be ready for a no-frills encounter, and perhaps a cheeky cat or two!
